What to bring for Sew you own Wrap Around Skirt
If you order fabric from our online fabric shop, it will be waiting for you in our classroom on the day of your course or buy from Bamber Sewing Machines and get 10% off.
You will need 1.5m of 150cm wide fabric or 2m of 115cm wide fabric (this is based on a skirt length of 60cm, bring more fabric for a longer length). Please avoid bulky, stretchy or slippery fabrics; light to medium weight woven cotton is ideal.
Sewing thread to match the main fabric.
One button (maximum size 3cm).
Contact us before the course if your hip circumference measures outside the range 90cm - 125cm so we can ensure there is a pattern block made in your size and so we can advise how much fabric to bring.
This workshop is part of a Sew Social day, there may be a short wait if the tutor needs to demonstrate a technique required for a different garment. It is, however, a great opportunity to pick up additional skills and chat about what others are doing. Our sponsors, Janome, supply computerised sewing machines (CLX301) and where required overlockers (6234XL). Unfortunately, it is not possible to bring in your own machines.
Tea and coffee will be available at the workshop and you are welcome to bring something to eat for lunch.
