About Me...
After studying textile design for 4 years at university, my first design position was with a company in Newcastle that provided knitwear and crochet to the small independent stores.
After several years I then moved on to a Manchester based company that provided knitwear to the high street and catalogues and it was from here that I then moved on to become the Patons head designer at Rowan yarns.
I learnt how to design, graph and write knitting patterns. The experience I got from the company gave me the opportunity to become a freelance designer, working for the monthly magazines like The Knitter, Lets Knit and Knit Today.
