This finely engineered foot is designed to couching thicker yarns and narrow braid. Use it also for sewing raised of padded satin stitch, passementerie, etc. A hole in the front of the foot guides the cord or yarn so that you can focus on the stitching line. The deep groove under the foot accommodates the cord while it is being couched.
